Frequently Asked Questions...and some Answers!

1. How much does it cost?
The first 90 days of your My Outdoor Calendar account cost $50. Afterwards, My Outdoor Calendar is priced based on a monthly fee. The basic account is $17 per month and includes everything you need to create trips, packages and events. You will be able to immediately accept payment via My Outdoor Calendar manage your booking.
2. I don't want people to be able to book trips without approving them first?
Thats not a problem. You can either mark days unavailable if you know them in advance or we can set you trips as "tentative." Meaning that if you have to manually approve every trip. We will already have captured the customers payment and if you need to move it you can. If you cant reschedule we can refund them without any fees. It allows you to capture that customer and their payment without committing to a day you are unavailable for.
3. How can I send my records to my accountant?
When you use My Outdoor Calendar to log all your sales it keeps track and organizes every transaction. This record is downloaded-able in a CSV(comma separated value). This format is can be read by any spreadsheet or database software such as Microsoft's Excel. All you need to do is download it and email it to your accountant. (Coming soon Quick Books integration)
4. Can I use my paypal or merchant account?
Yes. We just need some basic info to link your account with you e-payment account. Once set up payments will be directed into your account.
5. I don't have a pay-pal or a merchant service to use do you provide one?
My Outdoor Calendars default setting is that you use our merchant account. This means as soon as you set up your account you can start booking immediately! You wont have to set up any additional forms to begin accepting payment online or through credit cards. We can send you the money via, check, pay-pal, or direct deposit as soon as it clears or set up a monthly payment schedule.
6. How long does it take to set up?
Your basic set up/ signup only takes a few minutes. All you need is to give us some basic info on your business. Creating your packages requires a little more time depending on how many trips/rentals you offer. Each package takes a few minutes to create. Putting the booking tool on your website is also a very quick process. No matter the size of you business it wont take more than an hour to be fully up and running. Please watch the tutorial if you are having problems.
7. I dont know how to get the booking tools on my site.
All we need is your FTP username and password. We paste one line of code onto your website and you are good to go. We can also provide you the code and our in house web team can talk you through the process. If you want to let your web pro handle will will give them the code answer any question they may have.
